3 Book Recommendations for Baja Mexico Sea of Cortez

If you would like to read up on the Sea of Cortez beforehand, Here are 3 book recommendations for Baja Mexico and the Sea of Cortez.

1. John Steinbeck’s book, The Log from the Sea of Cortez. It is a classic!
2. The book The Forgotten Peninsula: A Naturalist in Baja California by Joseph Wood Krutch is also an interesting read. It is also an older book, and it is not a guidebook per se. It is more of a philosophical discourse and description of the land, people, flora and fauna of southern Baja “in the old days”.
3. Another favorite reference for our Trip Leaders that has a general overview of natural history, ecology, and geology for Baja Eco Tours  The Desert Islands of Mexico’s Sea of Cortez.
